Emerging recommendations from the Evidence Based Decision Making Symposium
Evidence Based Decision Making has been a source of much debate in Canada in recent years. The questions of how evidence is integrated into decision making; how we should structure our institutions, policies and practices to account for the realities of societal values, scientific evidence and the needs of the communities? These are pressing questions for policy makers around the globe and with the new government taking office in Canada there will be new approaches to evidence based decision making the urgency of these conversations is greater than ever.
This working document is intended purely to document and reflect on the discussion and recommendations that emerged at the Evidence Based Decision Making symposium Nov 26th 2015 in Ottawa. This document is not finalized and CSPC would like feedback, revisions and suggestions on content how this information could be best used.
