Message From The Chair
Message from the Chair:
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to the second annual Canadian Science Policy Conference (CSPC) being held October 20-22, 2010 in the heart of downtown Montréal, Québec. CSPC has been providing a unique opportunity for an inclusive national dialogue on the main issues of science policy in Canada.
Building on the immense success and positive impact of CSPC 2009 held in Toronto, Canada, last fall, which brought together over 400 scientists, policymakers, senior government officials and other stakeholders, we are pleased to provide a multi-sector, multi-disciplinary forum addressing current and future science policy challenges of critical importance globally.
CSPC 2010 features more than 50 speakers, 14 panels and 2 workshops, branded across 5 themes, along with hundreds of delegates representing numerous stakeholders who will discuss critical issues in Science and Technology policy in Canada – many of which have never been discussed at a forum on this scale.
Spurred on by a belief that Canada deserves an annual forum dedicated to science policy issues, the 2010 Conference’s motto is “Building Bridges for the Future of Science Policy”. We hope that you can join us in Montreal, Quebec this fall, as we continue our collective efforts in building a robust science policy network in Canada.
We encourage you to explore the conference website and visit often for exciting updates. I look forward to seeing you in October!
Sincerely,
Dr. Mehrdad Hariri
