The 2015 Federal Budget Targets Key Segments of Voters

The 2015 Federal budget is a good news budget. Its main beneficiaries are senior citizens, middle class families with children at home and the business community.

It has a strong focus on helping the manufacturing industry transition to the 21st century. It provides a generous injection in the Auto Innovation Fund, and extend the Capital Cost Allowance to allow manufacturers to reclaim capital costs.  A couple of good news for the research and academic community- the Canada Foundation for Innovation will receive new funding, and a $14 million for a new program to assist young entrepreneurs.  In summary, this is a pre-election budget aimed at putting money into the pockets of Canadians.
