Abstract:
In a world faced with increasingly complex global issues, science diplomacy is emerging as a strategic tool for fostering international cooperation and informing political decisions. This round table will highlight an ambitious initiative led by Quebec: the creation of chairs in science diplomacy, supported by the FRQ. Quebec’s Chief Scientist will explain the idea behind this initiative, and the expected benefits for Quebec and the international scene. Three chairholders will then present their respective projects. Together, the participants will illustrate how science diplomacy can help solve complex challenges by mobilizing knowledge, dialogue and concerted action between nations.
