
The Canadian Science Policy Centre (CSPC) and the Office of the Chief Science Advisor (OCSA) are pleased to offer our Science Meets Parliament programs. During these events, over 100 emerging leaders of the scientific community from across Canada were brought to the Canadian Parliament for extensive meetings with Parliamentarians, and attendance at the House and Senate standing committees.

The 6th edition of Science Meets Parliament – Federal is scheduled to take place in Ottawa on November 23-24, 2026, subject to Parliament being in session. The objective of this initiative is to strengthen the connections between scientific and political communities across Canada and promote mutual understanding.

The 3rd edition of Science Meets Parliament – BC took place in Victoria on April 27-29, 2026. 30 scientists from across BC took part in science policy training sessions and met with 38 Members of the Legislative Assembly to discuss key challenges and opportunities in BC.

The 2nd edition of Science Meets Parliament – ON took place in Toronto on May 4-6, 2026. 36 scientists from across Ontario took part in science policy training sessions and met with 38 Members of Provincial Parliament to discuss key challenges and opportunities in Ontario.
