The Canadian Science Policy Centre (CSPC) launched the National Conversation on Canada’s Innovation Strategy in July 2024. The pilot project sought input and feedback from experts, thought leaders and stakeholders from Canadian businesses, industry associations, innovation networks and academia; with the consultations being led by industry associations across sectors. The project included a call for editorials, virtual consultations with industry associations, and an in-person Innovation Strategy Symposium at the 16th Canadian Science Policy Conference.

CONSULTATION

CSPC hosted three consultations with industry association representatives from six key sectors to gather insights for a flexible, adaptive innovation strategy addressing current and future Canadian industry needs.

EDITORIALS

CSPC received 33 opinion pieces for a special issue of the CSPC magazine from industry, non-profit, and academia.

SYMPOSIUM

The in-person Innovation Strategy Symposium took place at the 16th Canadian Science Policy Conference at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa.
